So I'm guessing the isinglass wont get damaged during extended storage ? I always put the top back up when I park it. As to the original question, my top in in great shape but I wouldn't take the chance of something happening to it with the windows down, although I do tend to forget sometimes while getting on the entrance ramp. At lease I know it wont hurt it.

If it is nice enough to have the windows down then the top is usually down but sometimes I'll take short trips with the top up and the windows down. I've had as few drop tops and never had a problem with the top up and the windows down.

All though, off topic, I totally disagree. One of the main reasons I bought my cabrio was for it's blue top. These cars look great either way.

I love driving with the all windows down. Doesnt matter if the top is up or down. I love dropping the top, but nothing beats the look of top up and all windows down.

I was browsing ebay and found a tan colored replacement canvas a couple months ago, I was sooo tempted.
