R3V please help me save my friend

Last weekend, my buddy wrecked his '00 GTI and it is a total loss. Thankfully he is ok and had no injuries. He is currently looking for a car, and is nearly decided on some sort of Toyota pick-up. He wants a Tundra or Tacoma, mainly to load up firewood for his house and to take bikes on road trips.

Help me steer a good friend in the right direction and remind him he's only 24 and now is the time to drive a sports car.

Let's discuss, E46 M3 vs. Toyota pick-up. Please start your response with,

"Dear Chris, here is why an M3 is a better choice"

What? Tacos are great for someone in their mid-20s...

              Dear Chris,

Here is why an M3 is a better choice. Wait, what was that? You crashed and wrote off a VW GTI? Yeah, on second thought maybe you should get that Toyota afterall.

              Sincerely,
              Everyone was thinking it

I'd have to side with the salty r3v longtimers on this one and say that the Toyota's a better option.

Definitely let go of that M3, stick to something that's manageable like perhaps a KIA or a YUGO, let man cars stay with men and you don't worry about that VW, it's just one less that world has to worry about...glad your friend is ok though, seriously...

                        Dear Chris,

I hear you want to load the back up with wood. The M3 can fit 4 dudes beside yourself comfortably. As a bonus, if you get a convertible it won't look out of place. This is why the M3 is a better choice.

                        Sincerely,

                        Chadthestampede

I vote some combination of these two. That would combine common sense and a little bit o' r3v flavoring.

So not only does he have bad taste in cars, he's also a drunk? I vote Yaris.
