I have seen a few of them in person and well imo on some modified e30's they are OK (but still far away from cool!).

Yeah back in the day (the 80s that is) there were companies that sold kits for square headlights on e30s. Used to be several ads in the Roundel each month for them. I have never (fortunately) even seen one in person.
