      The super ETA was in 1988 cars and the DME would be a 0 261 200 154, but as mentioned you have a regular eta.

        It is not an eta at all. It is an M20B25, or a standard "i" engine...

          Looks like an "i" to me--check to see if it has dual valve springs or single.

                The I manifold is more round then the Eta manifold. If your Eta has the same manifold, it doesn't mean the last guy was a fuck up. It's a pretty popular modification to put an I manifold on an Eta engine.

                        ^ You've already answered your own question. NO, you do not have a SETA engine. You have a standard "i" engine, nothing more.

                        SETA engines only came in the '88 325es or '88 528e.

                              I've done this on both of my eta engines in the past, and combined with a 325i throttle body, (and if you're really ambitious, port-match the head to the intake inlets), it makes for a very nice intake upgrade.
