VIM tools? Made where? if you know. Want to get some of e-torx box wrenches and rather not buy Gear-Wrench's because they tend to be bulkier.

Built a constant current dummy load for testing some power supplies for some upcoming new stuff.

Need to build a little case for it out of some pine.

Basically, it's a VFD (variable frequency drive) to control the 3-Phase motor. That along with the tachometer I haven't hook up yet will let me turn at the exact rpm/sfpm needed for any job.

Turned the first pieces tonight. Still need to hook up the gearbox and leadscrew for powerfeeds, but I need to turn some parts for the gearbox so manual feed it was! They sure don't make em like this anymore.

^dremel, With all of the accessories and availability of them its stupid not to buy one. Hell every few months you can get a huuuge variety pack on sale for dirt cheap that will last years. Never buy the sandpaper type cutting wheels, go straight for the large diameter black ones. They will cut plastic or metal with ease. I absolutely love mine.

Just a little update, here's how my 'other' (read better) 10" South Bend is coming. I stripped and cleaned it down down to every last nut and bolt, repainted it in '1940's South Bend Gray', and am finally starting to reassemble it.



All the handles and knobs were filed/sanded/polished. Adds a nice touch I feel.

Where are you at in Ohio? Northeast Ohio, especially Cleveland area, is loaded with industrial surplus houses and supply shops. Let me know what kind of tooling you need for your Seiki mill. If it's standard R8, I may have a bunch of stuff you can have for free.



EDIT: Upon closer inspection, it looks like you have an NMTB 30 or 40 setup on your mill. I'll still see what I have.

I just confirmed that it is NMTB 40. I also actually just ordered some basic 3/8, 1/2, and 3/4" end mill holders, but that's all I have right now. I'll pm you.

Also, I'm in Springfield, which is western (east of Columbus and a little north of Dayton). There are definitely a lot of surplus houses around Cleveland, I really need to head up there one of these days and see what I can find.
