coolant lines run to them, Keeps your intake from frosting during cold winters. Not necessarily needed, but the lines go from the back of the block and one from the t stat i believe.

so if i leave them off i will not have a vacuum leak issue? my car is having a hard time keeping an idle, ended up actually replacing the afm along with the fuel pump and filter... just trying to cover all the bases
