    sooo i double guessed myself.

im about to do a valve adjustment, and im goin through all the steps in my head...i double guessed myself...and now im confused.

im doing the jack up the rear end, put in fifth gear, and rotate tires method.

but anyway, what do i do first the intake or the exhaust valve? or in what order?

You mean you second guessed yourself?

It doesn't matter which order you do it in. Just make sure you get to all the valves. And do it on a cold engine if you can, if your engine is warm then you have a time limit (before it cools down again).

Truth. Do it on a cold engine so you're not stressing the hell out the whole time.

Stop paying your mechanic to adjust your valves - it's really not that difficult. We'll show you how to on the 3-Series E30 six-cylinder engines.

Maybe you should have someone with a bit more mechanical experience look over your shoulder when you're doing this kind of stuff, if you don't trust yourself.
