anyone who knows alot about e28's help me out

I found an e28 for 1500, it's been in storage since 2005. would this be worth buying and the guy has not had it running. it ran when he parked it but he put a battery in it to see if it turned over and it did. i wouldn't know if this is a good buy and all it needs is a tune up to be driveable again or what.
    please advise, thanks

What motor? They have similar running gears to E30's (if M20's its basically the same)

Electronics are a little more complicated, and new parts are much more expensive.

    I love my 88 525i

I think I recall seeing a similar vehicle listed on mye28.com. I would swing over there and ask some questions if you don't find what you are looking for here.

I love me an e28. Hope it works out for you.

but i know nothing about them and whether or not they're okay to sit for years and just fire back up and daily drive
