stranded in jarrat virginia on a road trip - help!

Okay so pulling onto the i95 south onramp in jarratt virginia all my warning lights came on and I started to quickly overheat. I pulled over before it got too hot and got under the car and noticed the alternator / power steering pump / water pump belts were off. We're calling AAA and I called my shop back home and they gave me the belt sizes. I don't have any spare belts however. Is there anyone in the area that can help? I have to be in florida by tomorrow

Panty hose will get you to a parts store even if the alternator is locked up, if the waterpump isn't turning don't bother.

I'm about 2 hours south of there, if you can make it this far I'll be glad to help out. About 15 minutes from I-95/I-40 near Benson NC

I've got tons of spare parts.

        ;)

Obviously not near me if it's I95, best of luck from across the state!

If you can get AAA to tow you back to Richmond I have a garage with tools you can use. BAP-Geon in Richmond most likely has all the parts you need.

yeah that would be your water pump eating yourself. if you wiggle the top middle pulley, its probably not turning or loosey goosey

We're okay, got towed to advance auto parts and swapped in a new belt in the parking lot. Quite a pita but we're back on the road. Although now my speedo bounces around a little...

Don't want to jinx you, but you need to find out why all the belts came off.

Like grantlacey11 said, it could be your water pump self-destructing.

Did the WP pulley feel OK when you replaced the belts???

Had this shit happen to me in MY e30 in the middle of absolute NO WHERE South Dakota (just west of Kodoka to be precise) for some reason my WP belt grenaded and took the PS belt off.

Didnnt notice it running down the high way at 85 till all the over heat lights were on. Well after some calls and the little woman getting me a number and the local Napa (25-30 miles back) bringing me out a belt I get shit back together along side the road and on my way.
