Okay, This is a noob question. I am up to buy a car today hopefully, and I am still wondering, what do you actually do to buy a car? Please I have less than 2-3 hours before I see the person anything will help.

1. Look the car over, drive the car
2. Make sure VIN on title matches the one on the car in multiple spots
3. Create and sign bill of sale
4. Sign title
5. Register at DMV
6. Drive the car home like you stole it
7. ???

If your not completely sure its what you want, take some time to think about it. There's always another one out there in better condition for less money.
The seller should have everything setup for you to sign. Every state is different, hopefully someone from CA can chime in.
