Need your opinion on '93 325iC

    I'm looking at a 1993 325iC for possible purchase.
    Here's the Good Stuff:
High Mileage: 230k (mostly highway miles between Cleveland-Miami)
Second Owner purchased car at 160k (he owns BMW repair shop)
New Convertible Top (manual, power disabled), Manual 5 sp.,
New: Rear subframe bushings, Rear wheel bearings with backing plates, new Brakes and e-brake shoes, new Muffler, new Blower motor, new Front Struts and Rear Shocks, new Starter and Alternator, new intake gasket, new lower control arms, M3 control arm bushings, new power antenna.
Front leather seat has been recovered and repaired, catalytic converter is original and meets all emission standards, Tires have approximately 50% tread, he's always used synthetic oil, asking $3900. (green/blue metallic with tan leather), Timing belt replaced at 190k, A/C is original and works, car has been in storage (heated garage) for 3 years.
    Bad Stuff:
Small areas of rust around rear wheel lip.
Power top converted to manual operation.
    Radio backlite does not work.
    Temperature gauge is fluctuates.

    Here's the Craigslist listing:

Any thoughts/opinions would be greatly appreciated!---3/29--I decided NOT to pursue purchase of vehicle--car is located in Cleveland and I live in Cambridge, MA--just too far without first checking it out..

    Thanks for your feedback, David

    Thanks,
    David

Looks good to me but if he is a BMW tech, then the temp gauge should be fixed by him for nothing.

Being a BMW tech doesnt always mean that you have-and/or desire to make the time to fix something like a temp guage. just sayin.

looks like a nice car though

Too much money. Say 2500 if paint and interior are decent.

Thanks to all who replied to my post regarding the purchase of a 1993 325iC.

I decided NOT to purchase the car. I live in Cambridge, MA and would need to see it before considering to purchase it.
