    parts car value??

Found a parts car close to me and im wondering what it might be worth as is. I dont know for sure what year it is but it is an 'e', black sport interior (driver seat is toast), car has been rear ended really hard, but other than that i believe that the car is complete. It is sitting at a guys shop and has been sitting there for years. The guy doesn't know what he wants for it as he hasn't really thought about selling it. I was thinking of offering maybe $200 for it? What do you guys think?

    Thanks.

If its an es with sport seats, lsd, basket weaves and 5 speed you should be able to get $800 + for just those items.

The value of the car as it sits is probably around 300 - 700 depending on the condition of everything.

whoa not $800... but pics would help immensely.

what do you need it for? the eta engine is nearly worthless, and so are b-caps. If it has good body parts and interior parts, maybe $200, if the drivetrain is in good working order. If you can find a similarly cheap eta w/ a snapped tbelt, it would be a good deal, make one car out of two, plut a ton of spare parts for $400, and that would be a screaming deal.

I mainly just want the black interior panels and also the bottle caps for winter wheels. If I buy the car all other parts would be sold then the car scrapped.
Just wondering what I should pay. So what would be the highest I should give? I really dont want to give much more than a couple hundred.

Complete part out + scrap price usually nets me about a G, especially if there is anything valuable on the car (sport goodies, straight panels etc.)

Vines Automotive told me they pay around $400 for running cars to part out. I'd try to keep that number in mind and remember its a lot of work to pull parts and deal with people wanting stuff shipped after you get what you want.

I'm picking one up on Thursday to pull a few items and then have some trading material on hand. Not sure how the economics will work out, I'm just going to try to get it hidden on the side of the house before the Missus finds it.
