Get yourself a POS S10 or something like it.

Sell that E30 and get a nicer one. (metal bumper M10 car? Fuck that!)

DON'T get something you can "stand" driving, get something you hate so you stay focused on getting your newer E30 into shape.

The fact that the phrase "having 2 BMWs in my driveway" has been brought up a couple times leads me to believe you're more concerned with having the preferred badge over what's more reliable.

Ultimately it's your choice, but I would pick up a Honda to DD while fixing up the e30.

So it ends like this. Metal Bumper m10 E30 will STAY.

Father in laws Cadillac will be my DD.

M10 will be replaced with a rebuilt, cammed, EDIS, turbo, M10.

        Or

If I can find an s50 for a good price I'll do that.

But there are too many s50's out there and I really want to learn turbo stuff/tuning.

*ahem*2.7t lol. They're reliable as long as you keep up maintenance on them... Just like any other car, but good luck finding one with good maintenance for 6k, it might be able to be done, but it will definitely be difficult.
I love them though, great performance and all the luxury to go with it.

You can also get a mk4 gti vr6. Lot more reliable than the 1.8t.
