Wife and I were on the way to go see my very sick MIL. About the time I crossed the Cape Fear river bridge something slung up in the wheel well and I commented to my wife "what did I hit? I didn't see anything. About 15 miles later I was doing about 75ish in the left hand lane when this happened. Full size spares FTW!
First time I have ever had a blowout/shredded tire. Suprisingly it wasn't the "OMG I'm gonna die in a fiery ball of flames" I envisioned it would be. Glad I didn't take my wife up on her offer to drive
