Lets say you just finished installing a lift

Lets say its a scissor lift (BendPak SP-7x).

It has two platforms that rise, and rubber blocks that you are supposed to position under the car. Where would you position these blocks?

P.S. I am the happiest man on earth right now.

The smaller arms that extend x2 are the front arms, they go under the front frame rails:

The longer arms that extend x1 are the rears. Go right to the rear jacking point by the sub frame bolts:

Remember my arms are backwards in these pictures because I have the car backed in. but the mounting points are correct.

        This one?

I'd just make sure it lines up with the rocker panels where the jack points are. I would even put some wood on the jack points and make sure they're raised from the rest of the car.

Yes, that lift. It came with rubber blocks that you position under the car at the correct locations. Earlier I tested it in the locations that Danny said (jack points on the rockers) and it works ok, although the lift platform it so wide it still contacts the inner frame a bit, but I'll just order some taller blocks so this won't be an ongoing problem.

This is in my home garage. This has been the biggest project I ever did by a long shot, and I am witholding pictures until its totally finished, but that shouldn't be in too much longer.

Funny thing, I bought an E30 and spent more than the E30 on a garage for it. These cars are a sickness.
