On one hand – you’re totally right. That’s pretty high per market value.
On the other hand – the guy actually uses correct English – and the car appears to be well-loved and enthusiast-maintained. It does have low miles and that engine bay is disgustingly clean. Obviously, the taillights, exhaust tip, sealed beams, and comfort seats are the only less-desirable features I see. Other then that – that is one of the nicer e30s I’ve seen posted for sale recently.
Maybe the guy has like $15K in it – and is pained to part with it (?)
While none of that really justifies $12K – I confess that’s a figure I’d think of if forced to sell my car (that’s how much I love it though).
..and shit – when you sell most anything – the idea is to get as much as you can – so it’s not like starting high is a dumb thing to do.
