Needed a tune up and carb rebuild really bad, and the kick down cable for the tranny was broken so you had to drive it like B&M slap shift, but it did run. We would hear the neighbor try and start it to go to work, with sparatic success. Well he got fed up with it and put it up for sale for 60 bucks at the end of the shared drive. We saw and it I bought it on the spot but talked him down to 45. The battery was dead from the idiot trying to start it for us. So we pushed it into my buddies garage and put the charger on the batt, and hopped in my truck to go acquire parts for our new project. Well about 75 bucks latter and a carb rebuild kit and full tune up we set to work in the garage. About 90 mins after that we invited the neighbor over (did I mention we hated him) and it fired off on the 1st crank and ran like a champ (he was pissed when I told him what it cost to get it running good again). It lasted about 6 months till we blew up doing all kinds of stupid abusive shit too it, like trail running with the 4x4 guys with it, jumping it, drove it into a pond, all kinds of shit.
my first e30, 9/83 , 318i 5speed stock 3.91 lsd , i paid 300 bux and it was running.
it was kinda fucked up. Great on gas but slow as shit. im on my 3rd e30 now.
i did once get a 88 hyundai excel hatchback for 250. 56,000 org miles, everything worked and got over 30 mpg. no pix, cool lil beater car, topped out at 85mph lolz
that interior 0.0
idk why but the brown interior gets me so bad.
do like.
yes , only e30 ive seen with brown everything. Everything was in great shape but the front seat. for 300 bux that car last allmost a year, well worth the price :d
brown sport would make me cry....i would get them, with all the other brown interior.
then tell people i had to skin african's for the seats they're sitting on.
I actually have 3 from highest to lowest price: make/model: 86 325es price: $350 location: Junkyard in Hagerstown, MD from who: Kid on craigslist said if no one bought the car in 24 hours it would be scrapped. By the time I saw the listing it had just left his house on the rollback. I met him at the salvage yard and gave him $50 more than they were offering.
description of the car: On the 6 mile drive home it leaked 4 quarts of oil. Every single gasket and seal was leaking.
Before:
After:
Total investment: $2627
make/model: 84 Saab 900 Turbo price: $100 location: Bodyshop in Western Maryland from who: Owner of the shop. The car was dropped off after hours with a note asking for a paint job. The title was in the glove box. 3 years later no one had ever called or come back for it. I was working at Enterprise and had picked up some customers at the shop and saw it. condition: Paint was pretty much gone, but no rust whatsoever. Interior was pristine. I put a battery in it and drove it for 120K as a college beater car. General maintenance and I sold it on saabcentral for $2800.
Been looking for another one ever since. Trying to dig up an early model Turbo coupe.
The best I have: make/model: 1990 Volvo 780 Bertone Coupe price: $FREE (Installed a roll bar in a Miata) location: Cumberland, MD from who: My Neighbor I grew up next to had bought this car new for his wife. He then gave it to both of his daughters for college. One weekend when visiting my parents he asked if I would put a roll bar in his Miata for him. I agreed and when I was done we handed me the keys and title to the car. His exact words "I know you like European cars and you will probably appreciate this thing more than I do. I think it's ugly." condition: Pristine. Needed to replace a wheel that was curbed and fix the front and rear main seals.
Traded in for my e36. Regrets.

I already hated you for owning it. Then I hated you even more when I read you got it for free. Then I read you traded it for an E36 and I nearly threw my computer off of my desk!
I learned to drive on my Dad's 780 Bertone and it would've been my first car if some idiot didn't forget how to fuckin brake. Car was rear ended and written off. If I was smarter I would've bought the car from the insurance company and paid to fix it. Slow as hell though...
Bilsteins, 5sp, new tires, Husco armrest, minty-ish seats. Threw a battery in it (from my e28 = free) and it fired right up. Needs a valve adjustment (free) and a valve adjustment (free), valve cover gasket (free), and a rocker arm shaft seal (free); I have all of these parts already at home.
