make/model: 94 Chevy Corsica
price: $150
location: Utah
from who: Random dude
description of the car: Guy did a head gasket job on the car, after starting it up, coolant was burning out the exhaust, he gave up and put in on the interwebs, I came and bought it. There was coolant in the exhaust, after 30 minutes of idling, the car ran fine. First car ever, sold it to buy an e30.

The deal.
I bought a 97 328 that was missing all the 5 speed parts. On the way home from picking it up I traded it straight up for this, fair deal in my book:
the "parts only" e36 was only $650
Straight up trade for 88 325ix 5spd coupe, I LOVED this car but like all my others 30's I didnt keep it very long.
traded straight up for this
I had like 5 sets of wheels on this car in the few months I owned it.

otherwise it was just very mis treated by its PO, he lost his license and he was going to keep getting in trouble if he didnt get rid of the car.

1984 Toyota Celica I paid $35 dollars for. There was $70 of change on the floor ;)
I bought it from a neighbor in Bethesda, Maryland. Body wass okay except the passenger rear quarter (hit and run). Pearl white though and ran like a champ sans the weak battery that was in it.Last edited by shadowbethesda; 04-13-2011, 12:25 PM.1989 325i Cabriolet Auto

paid $400 for my e30, at the time all it needed was a head gasket. it wasn't mixing, just losing compression on #5, and I dumped a few hundred into it in the last 6 months.
a better deal was my s13 for $450. mechanically all it needed was an alternator ($35 at JY), and a few months into it blew a water pump (IIRC $75). the bumpers were a bit rough and it was missing a sunroof. I put in some KYB struts on for $200 when a friend of mine went to coil overs on his car. I later sold it to his nephew for $700.
