Auto Body Guys: What all needs replacing on this car *NO56K*

My friend got in an accident in her '90 325iC and needs to know what all needs to be replaced on her car, body-wise. The radiator is cracked, but she can fix that herself. The only damage to the quarter panels is a fist-sized dent on the passenger side; no paint chips or scratches.

Also, if anyone can come up with a ballpark figure of how much it is going to cost to have everything (minus the radiator) fixed at a decent body shop, that would be great.

    Thanks guys

    nice

It kind of looks like a car that I am picking up but it's black and the damage is to the corner.
From the looks of the picture you'll want to replace everything in the front, core support (which looks pushed back), bumpers, etc.
It may be more owrk than the car is worth. I am getiing mine and I will probably be parting it out. Hope this helps. Thanks. Jai

Hood, valance, valance lip, bumper, bumper shocks, core support, grills, headlight buckets, new rad, possible new distrib cap, hood hindge, roundel, foglamps, bumper shrouds, bumper shocks....

Car needs a good amount of time on the rack to correct frame damage.

Any insurance company would consider that very totaled.

I'd say about $3-4k worth of damage if you are just handing it to a decent body shop.

Also the paint job looks really lousy. Chances of matching that paint are nill. Going to need a complete respray to look decent. That would be extra.

      $5-5500 to repair a $1500 car....

Unless the rest of the car is mint, that is probably not worth fixing.

Core support, radiatior, aux. fan and the regular fan and fan clutch.

Bumper, valance, bumper shocks, bumper trim, hood, hood hinge assemblies.

I'd worry that the frame rails may be out of line now too.

Part it out, make some good money, buy another one. Not worth saving.

Gotta know which ones to let go, and which ones to save.

WTF did she hit anyways? Hope shes ok...that's a rough accident.

Looks like everything sorta bent around them. The point of impact was in the center, so they avoided contact.

yup, part it out and clear enough to buy another one.

Looks like maybe she submarined under another car or a truck. The damage up above is pushed back differently than below.

Whatever happened, there will be one less e30 on the road.

She hit a lifted truck, mostly in the tires but I'm told there's a little mechanical damage on it. She's got a sore back, but other than that she's ok.

About how much money would parting it out yield? I only ask because she's really low on money right now and I'd like to at least tell her that so she can budget a new (used) car.

                          Thanks for all the responses

OK for one, I doubt someones going to doll out 3 grand for a perfectly new paintjob on this car, especially since its going to have a salvage title. That being said its still not worth it. Theres gotta be some frame damage, and once thats done, its time for a new car
