Shop advice in NYC metro area...

Was hoping someone here knows of a good shop that does convertible tops for my 92 e30. I have it for sale and it needs a top and was thinking of replacing the top and enjoying the car and keeping it. It has 85K orig miles and is pretty clean.

I am on Long Island but willing to travel if someone knows of a place that does top replacements. I was quoted $1700 by an indi close to home ( the little garage). Matt over there is a great guy but I was hoping to spend closer to a grand for the top.

    Any advice is much obliged!!!

I want it done right and I am willing to pay extra for that. I have looked into doing it myself but I have way to many questions that concern me.

I was fine with a couple of holes that I used some marine patches and duct tape but a couple of weeks ago I did this>>> and I'm pretty screwed now.. lol

        Hopefully someone knows one. thanks!!

it is a zipper and that is an option but then I have a new windo and old top but that is weighing on me... I have not looked into the install of the window. Have you done it?
