Nope, not gonna happen. If they want to sit around and go off on each other's rides, I want to partake. I have every right to call out these worthless fuckers whether they are 16, 36, or 106 years old. If someone talks shit, they must be prepared for the wrath of an OG or two.

Man, I never felt unwelcome when I joined. It only seems like the new people that start shit are the ones that complain about being unwelcome.

You know, I do feel bad about opening my mouth about ill4noreason without knowing that the car that OP posted was a wayward project owned by someone with plenty of nice, commendable projects; like an m50 cabrio.

However, you know where you can stick that finger. I know people need large trucks for certain things. I have no respect for people that drive around 6.2L and larger diesel pickups and 5.4L V8's to commute to work and anywhere else they need to go. We all know damn well where this country is headed in terms of gasoline supply and demand. If people only need the truck for a certain use.. why are there idiots driving them around aimlessly? It's really a waste of money on their part to begin with and another waste of resources beyond that. These are the same friends of mine who can't do anything now because I call them up and they don't wanna go anywhere.. "Not when gas prices are this high bro.."

I drive ~2700 miles a month for work. I'm an engineer and just need enough room to carry my tools, equipment, and parts. I don't drive for work with anyone else in the passenger seat. I'm reimbursed for my mileage each month. My vehicle of choice? 1994 Suzuki Swift with a 1.0L G10 engine and a 1.3L sedan transmission that I swapped in along with an economy ECU and cam gear (I also blocked off my front bumper and made several other mods). My economy? I drive at 60MPH on the highways and I see over 60MPG combined. Cost of the car? $1500. So how much money do I MAKE over a 20MPG vehicle each year just driving that car for work? Over $4800 and rising. As the gas prices go up, my savings go up compared to something that gets 20MPG.

I'm not complaining about the people who drive a truck because they need it for work. I used to drive a 5.4L V8 Ford E-250 in my last position.. not because I chose to, but because the company provided it to me along with an inventory of parts I needed with me in the back. I'm just bitching about the a-holes who drive trucks around for no damn reason except "I like my truck." I used to have a truck. I got rid of it. I don't even need a pickup truck to launch my boat and jetskis. I can do that with my old passat wagon with ease.

I feel bad for the people that need them for work to tow things around and such, but hey, that's life. Gas prices are going to keep taking a shit on everyone. We all have to get used to it and make the right changes in our excessive American lifestyles.
