Take an afternoon off to fix your car. Or bring it somewhere to have it done. Not worth the risks. -
Just get new strut mounts. Geeze.

QFT.Fix it right - get under there, take things apart and assess the extent of the problem. Replace what is required.Leave a comment:

I wouldn't drive the car as is ... and with only one bolt holding the front corner of your car on, a failure here could kill you, perhaps someone else, least of all your car.

How are you going to reach the head of the bolt to put a wrench on it exactly?Leave a comment:

Cut off the studs and then put bolts in. It's a quick short term measure.Leave a comment:

the strut does not move, ill keep an eye on the holes in the fender holes. What would i need to do to fix/replace the factory studs?Leave a comment:

I would be worried about enlarging the holes in your fenders, that said the nuts have most likely been loose and wearing shit out for a while now, it's your call really if you feel safe driving it. I drove my eta with a gland nut smashed and basically no left front shock for a month before I did the suspension.Leave a comment:

So does the whole strut move side to side also? I would e afraid of the strut widening the holes in the tower or the last bolt snapping while you are driving.Leave a comment:

wow, i did word that poorly. The studs that come up though the strut tower are feel like they are broken off at the base, or not screwed in. When i try to tighten the nuts the whole stud moves with it. Not just spinning with the nut, i can actually move them left/right.Leave a comment:
