Car rack

Anyone here have a rack on their car? How much and where did youget it? What do you use it for?

I've got a rack on my car, its a thule rack. I got it off my dads volvo, and cut down the bars. It clamps down into the rain gutters, so my only complaint is that after a while it bent the chrome trim... but thats probabally because i take them on and off pretty often.

Their used to carry my boards, without the racks my car would be usless for surfing out of.

well what are u looking to carry? For boards you could always get a set of soft racks that rest on the roof, but i wouldn't recommend carring anything more than 2 longboards on those.

You could always check ebay or your local classifieds for a used pair. Infact i'll check in my basement, i might have a set lying around.

i've got a thule rack for sale, and i'm nearby LA. 150 and it's yours. it looks just like this without all the attachments. the rack i have now is off of a saab, the only reason i replaced my thule rack is cuz it's a saab rack.
