I'm telling you, go smoke some weed and come back to this thread. I've been staring at it for like 35 minutes now haha.

    "Ever seen a $20 bill?...Yeah...Ever seen a $20 bill, on WEED?"

I only finished these with a surface grinder. Once you take a mill to them you loose any type of profit margin.

I love this stuff, too... I really dig the original Shelby Cobra from the sixties and there is a company that builds aluminum bodied, tube framed replicas out in Utah called Kirkham Motorsports. The bodies are hand made in Poland by ex-Soviet Mig craftsmen and are gas welded and then polished and the stripes are brushed... unbelievable stuff... check it out...

Here's a link to their site, their old site had a ton of photographs, I don't know about the new one, but it's worth a look since they make everything by hand...

As a hobby, I build 1/8th scale models that are as exact to the original as possible, but they don't run, they are static displays, but they have working suspension, steering, etc. I don't want to clog this awesome thread with unrelated stuff, but I'll share a few pics of a Ferrari F40 chassis I scratchbuilt from brass and a 427 Cobra chassis, too...

I own a small part time side business making flanges. Off all the different things Ive put under my corporate name, the flanges are the only thing that sell easy. Its hard to compete with China, but once in a while I make a run of turbo flanges or what not and sell them on ebay.

As a backyard/hack welder, all I can say is DAYUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That shit is unbelievable. Out of all the stuff I've ever welded, I've never been able to put more than ~10-15mm of REALLY nice looking bead down at once.
