I had one of these 87 535is 5 speed royal blue/tan interior w/168k. BBS RG's 16x7 front and 16x8 rear-racing dynamics strut bar,front adjustable camber plates and rear adjustable control arm bushings,billy sports F&R W/h&r springs,racing dynamics front and rear adjustable swaybars,all bushing for suspension were poly-urethane. full power 6 way adjustable seats with real sheepskin seat covers premium stereo system with upgrades-crack free dash board all rubber on doors and trunk was new. I got 4800.00 for it. Hope you get it.

1+ guy did this on my Honda DX coiled hatch. I told him to leave because 500 off is an insult. Put it back up for 500 more then I was asking before and a guy came and bought it that day. Still see it drive around...I miss that little 39+mpg car =(

Oh yes. I LOOOOOOOVE alpine E28s. Cardinal leather, black carpet, PERFECT combination.

shes in my garage safe and sound. so psyched. only problem is the power steerings shot. makes an ungodly horrible squeaking noise and the steeringwheel shakes like crazy at 60mph. and the dash is cracked and the glovebox is ghetto rigged. over all the car is beautiful. my freind was following me back in my 2006 e90 325xi and we raced. guess who won... the e28 by like 6 car lengths god i love this thing. boy do i have plans for this car

I had an '85 - drove it for about 7 years, put more than 320,000km on it (sold it with 470,000)

Have you had it checked out by a mechanic yet? Not to burst your bubble, but these cars do have some issues. Pay attention to suspension bushings - front and rear. Parts aren't cheap for these, so shop wisely.

Good luck with the car ... I really miss mine. there's no better highway cruiser in my opinion.

i could only get 2 grand together but we made a gentleman's agreement for me to get him 400 more bucks in a week. it was his idea he wanted her gone. he was afraid it was gonna get dinged up being parked in the city. im so happy with it tho. the car def needs a lil bit of front end work but other than that its so smooth. the shocks def arent blown out or anything it feels super tight. as soon as i get some more money this thing and my matching alpine e30 are gonna get alot of tlc.
