    Silly E36 people

I posted a craigslist ad for all the extra parts I have after stripping my crashed E30. This guy calls me about 4 times, texts and emails another few times, and the ad CLEARLY said E30 parts. Well I guess he didnt know that his 318Ti wasnt an E30. He makes arrangements with me to meet at a gas station and follow me to my house, on a day when I was already late for something, but hey I figured if I can sell my extra fenders, why not.

Well I meet up with him and I notice that hes in a 318ti. .. I figure he must have an E30 at home. So we get to my house and I ask him, Wheres your E30? hes like whats that mean? I told him an E30 is different from his car and again he looked at me with confusion. Hes like none of your parts will fit my car? No sorry dude.

    Not even the headlights? no.
Not even the front bumper? you said you had a bumper! No.

    How annoying

Keep your stuff locked up and be on the lookout for anyone suspicious. He could have been eyeing you up to see what kind of stuff you have to steal. Then again, he could just be a complete dumbass.

Yeah haha I did tell him there are SOME parts that will fit, but I scrapped my 4 lug rear end already.

I wonder if anybody has done that. I dont see any reason TO do it, but just cause you can

I had this happen when a guy came and wanted my ETA radiator. I told him it is for the older motor and he did not wanna believe me. A day later he is at my door with his "buddies" demanding a refund. Fucking idiots

Usually when I list parts for my cars, I now list the year of the car it came off of. I cant remember how many time I"ve been asked "Whats an e30?", "Whats an e36?", "Whats an e39, will the headlights fit my M3?", etc...

                      318ti is a disgrace to the e36.

Anyone who owns one is already a dumbass.

                        Not true.

Owning a 328is and 2 e36 M3s, I can safely say the ONLY e36 I'd ever own again would be an s52 swapped 318ti with coilovers and //M bumpers.

Ive had my e36 m3 for 2 years and nothing major has broken on it. Unlike my POS e30 where everything fucking breaks, and you cant fit any rubber under neath the thing without massive ass fender flares.

I agree with BillBrasky; he's either a complete dumbass or he's spotting you. I had some punkass kid do that to my 240. Kept asking about my Koyo radiator, my AEM intake, and my stereo. Well, he stole it one day and I knew it was him, so keep your shit locked up.

The funny part is that the shop I worked at the time, I was doing an SR swap for him and his car was at the shop. Complete dumbshit.

Its not that everything completely breaks on the e36, its the cheap interior, squeeky everything, terrible coupe doors, failing electricals, etc... My e30s on the other hand; have rarely let me down. You have to understand that e30s are often a lot older, less cared for by previous owners, etc..
