I can appreciate the older classics, but I would do evil things to have a 997 GT3 RS 4.0. Sinful things.

Two prototype 914s, dubbed 914/8, were built during 1969. The orange 914/8 was the first constructed, at the instigation of Ferdinand Pierch (then head of the Racing Dept), to prove the concept. Powered by the full-blown, 310 hp (222 kW) 908 [flat-8] racing engine, it was based on a surplus 914 handbuilt development prototype bodyshell (chassis no. 914111), hence the many differences from the standard vehicle (e.g., the quad headlights).

A friend has one EXACTLY like that, sans the "Turbo S" wing. Same BBS wheels though.

Just got done upgrading the turbos... it's putting ~650hp to the wheels now.

I saw the red 914/8 at the museum last October.

I bet the green nose sticking out in the second picture is this:

When I was there, they had all of the turbos on the rotating pedestals.
