For me the holes will cause a lot of shoe-tracked debris to gather under the pedal.
Neither actually. The holes are laser cut right from the start. Creating the file for one without holes is no problem, but it can't happen during the production run. Therefore, the pedal would simply be a one-off, and as a result the price would go up. I do see your point though about debris. However, the distance between the carpet and the pedal itself isn't that great. I high power vac, like any from a carwash, or a shop vac will have no issues sucking that debris right up.

Thats a good bit of info there. Can you further explain how the shape helps toe healing.

Related question. My E30's floor mats have the carpet that goes up on the dead pedal. Is there a version that will leave that off so I can use your pedal or do I need to cut mine or run without a floor mat?

the lil kick out on the bottom of the gas pedal helps me when I punch the gas with my heel while braking. There are many techniques out there... but this will help me although its not a big deal. If you make this pedal set then I would be in on a full pedal/dead pedal set!

Interesting... never knew those existed. I've only seen the floor mats that are cut off right at the footrest area. Anyway, I would imagine that with your mat it would cover up the dead pedal. Soo... you would either need a new set of mats, or like you said cut yours. I don't know how that would look though. But I hope we are talking about the same thing.

Oh i see what you mean. Well, we'll take it under consideration. For the time being, only working on the dead pedal. BUT like i said, if there is enough interest then we can look into a pedal set.

Not anything solid. The shop has been getting killed with work lately. We've finalized the second prototype. I actually have the modified version of the first prototype installed in my car. I don't want to start the preorder group buy until we know we can get them produced in a timely fashion. And this is for the coupe dead pedal.

If we are talking about the vert... we will work on a vert version of this after we get the coupe one squared away.

However, we did design another dead pedal (sort of a Hartge/mk motorsport style) that we think could fit both the vert and the coupe at the same time. Its a two piece design with interchangeable top plates. Only showing the mk motorsport style right now...

Nothing wrong with that. We all have different tastes.

Do you have a set of dimple dies at the shop? I think if you hit the holes with the proper sized dimple dies, it would really make it look great.

Sorry for the late replies guys. We have actually looked into using dimple dies, but unfortunately that would increase our production time and therefore cost. We just don't see it being worth the cost.

No new update yet. We have the second prototype produced. We just have to test it and move onto production. We are working on the first prototype of the other design pictured above also. We've been busy lately. We became r3v sponsors recently and are awaiting Josh to activate everything. We are in talks in becoming retailers for some brand name products. The storefront site is almost done, and I am in the process of getting some new things going with euwerks.com. At the end of the day, its all excuses but we are hoping to finish everything up within the next couple of weeks.

If you offer the pedals unfinished we can always dimple die them ourselves. Looking forward to seeing your finished product.
