    Sloppy Strut

Just purchased a well worn but rust free '87 ETA. Could not believe how badly worn the front strut shocks were. The owner was driving it up until 6 months ago.

        LOL....
Some people are determined to drive until wheels and doors basically fall off the car.

Bah, that's nothing I drove my eta for a month with the left front gland nut smashed to pieces literally zero shock absorbing action.

I'd just weld them at this point.

When the car was being loaded on the roll-back, the guy I bought it from said "this was the best car I ever had, I never had to do anything but drive it". It really shows.

looks like a bump stop to me.
I got a fender roller now! LMK if you need me to roll your fenders or want to rent the tool from me locally.

I've never seen a front bump stop that would wear through the chrome plating on a shock shaft, or was made of metal, threaded and used to retain a shock in a strut housing!
