    oilpan gasket / odometer

    1. i torqued the oilpan gasket 90lbs(haynes=80-97lb) it squeezed the gasket out like 1/8 of an inch all around is it supposed to pancake the gasket that tight i also used some sealant like the manual said. im just worried it may leak and be a pain in the ass. plus i have to get another etc. its was a cork gasket.

    2. does anybody know the order # for the plastic gears for the odometer to work or a site to order them? does anybody know how to reset the odometer or run it back besides a drill on the gears cause that will take forever. (have new engine want actual miles on new motor, plus the miles dont match whats on the car)

    3. thanks

The gasket will squeeze out a litle. An 1/8 of an inch should be fine. Any cork gasket will do this.
