BMW from hell

i had a leak like this after putting a late model shift carrier onto an older trans, and replacing both rear seals, and thought for sure a threaded hole was leaking oil. but i put a pick tool in the hole and it didnt go into the trans, (not drilled all the way through)


Ended up being a crooked seal install, but whats the deal with the threaded hole? are some different?

Well I discovered a couple weeks ago it was the reverse light switch that was missing in both transmissions :[ Doh! I feel like such a dumbass
