switching door locks, anybody know how?

in order to take the lock out of a door, do i need a key? or can i just take the door panel off and pop it out?

door panel off and slide out the big azz clip type of thing.

key is not needed, you don't pop it out, there is a C/U clip holding it.

You'll see it when you remove the door panel... have the window/glass all the way in the up position as well.

thanks, but the door is damaged and the window cannot be rolled up. i took the door off the car and pulled the window glass and motor/window lift mechanism out.
