Yeah, re-reading I was a royal waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleshole. It was meant to be a light-hearted jab in the ribs for Luke to fix the thing. We give up on stuff too easily these days and excuses like "I don't have time" or "but I could get another one easily" don't fly with me. The problems Luke has described can be fixed with time and a bit of dedication, and I guarantee he'd enjoy the car more at the end of it.

about 4 years ago I broke a lollipop bolt off in the frame. I drove it that way for 2 years after I fucked up trying to get it out, breaking a drill bit AND an easy out off.

2 years ago I hit a concrete block on the freeway. It damn near ripped the lollipop off, creased the entire length of the bottom of my car AND caved in the gas tank. Since then I chopped a hole in the side of the frame rail and welded 2 nuts inside the frame rail.

Plus, the left side has a big crease above thee bumper AND the fender arch is mushed, plus the half-zillion little dents and such...just too many issues to deal with on a body with 330,000 miles.

Oh, the bass has broken the glue that holds the roof together. Drivers door too...plus the damn kidneys rattle so I HAVE to get rid of it.

I WILL get another E30, it WILL be an early model, it WILL stay 4 lug.

I have a late rear valence, a fairly nice interior, lots of neat goodies including a set of Brembo calipers...plus a bit of stereo crap.

No worries, I am gonna have another E30 (aside from the late model I already have) soon.

But all you guys said I should fix it, right? Apparently now, (since I explained the situation) we are all on the same page...but it does break my heart every time I go outside and see it sitting there all broken, especially since I know I broke it.

On a brighter note: My insurance agent, Lacey Hardy of Farmers/Coast Insurance kicks ass. She said her interpretation of the email I sent her was that I intended my normal FULL COVERAGE...meaning, there may be a bit of a silver lining in this dark cloud.

Either way, it has only been 3 days and I miss that car already.
