I did some research and it seems that it does work most of the time but cops can see that it gets blurry on an angle when driving around you and not only will it be another reason for them to pull you over but they can also give you a ticket for it in some states.
It's not like I go around running red lights or want to. I follow all traffic laws. It's the principle of red light cameras that I hate. I think they are a threat to our rights.(or what I believe our right should be)
They cross the line of police techniques to protect us to police techniques to take advantage of us. I simply don't believe the intention is to protect us and is more to simply create more revenue for police. Did you know they are have been making the yellow lights shorter to catch more people in some cities?
Red light cameras are more of a danger and a disruption to traffic than they are to protect us. Think about the traffic law abiding people that get caught in the intersection at the last second making a left turn and simply can't turn in time. Think about the people that slam on their brakes as soon as the light turns yellow now simply to not fall victim to their trap, that's sure to cause accidents.Zinno '89 <24v swap in progress>

With today computer imaging technology those are now almost useless but if you are wanting to do something like that you could always make one using privacy glass that blurs when an electrical current runs through it(but its costs alot for the glass so is it really worth it unless you are doing alot of shady stuff)

It's from BavAuto, guaranteed to work or a set of angel eyes back.
Seeing one of these in person, it's definitely legit; but I can easily see the police writing a citation for not being able to clearly read it. They're twats in NC though, so I'm not sure how it'd fly on a state-by-state basis.

these work 100% BUT they are NOT legal, at least in NY/NJ as you can't have anything covering your license plates. I used to have these covers on all my cars, was pulled over once by NYPD highway patrol just because of these covers, I was also issued tickets while the car was parked on the streets in New York city

Maybe if they would just stop investing in complex shit like red light cameras and go back to actually doing their job and watching the light/patrolling.
Here's a real shitty one. They timed how long it would take someone to travel from each toll booth to another on the PA turnpike. Then, if someone got from one to the other quicker (given a little lee way for speedo discrepancy) they would mail you a ticket.
This got shot down though.
Also, if your car is being towed, and the tow driver rolls through a yellow, guess who gets the ticket? Whichever car they can see the plate. They don't care. They'll send the ticker to the owner of the car being towed. It's all about money.1974.5 Jensen Healey : 2003 330i/5
