    remember the e36 to e46 shift? sedans came out in 1999 and coupes the next year. probably be the same for the e90

    AFAIK the "4 series" was to replace the 3 series, but that was ditched due to customer/ brand recognition. Everyone who loved the 3 series would not have the same feeling with something named the 4 seriers.

    I have only sat in one, it felt SOLID. like sitting in the last model 5 series.

    My question is when will they be large enough? I say we need something like the e30 to modernized! small, four seater, straight six (prefferibly the s54), or even a four cylinder. jsut as long as it weighs less than 3k lbs! don't get me started

      unforthunatly ppl who have the money to buy a brand new BMW don't care about a driver's car and want confort and luxury. And most don't care wether it's a BMW, Mercedes, Lexus etc..
