    windshield seal

    hey-
i have an '85 325e that looks mint with the exception of the godawful seals around the front and rear windshield, which are becoming a yellowy-brown color. how do i go about accquiring replacements? anybody have part #'s or installation tips. oh yeah- any ways to keep the price down would be much obliged as well.

    thanks a ton

You could mask them off and pain with some SEM trim paint or like product. I dont know where oyu can get new ones though. Thats the R3v answer.

Bav Auto has a shadowline windshield lockingstrip package for about $75. I think the chrome version can be had for around $40-$50. This of course is for new stuff becuase everyones chrome lockingstrips fade into the ugliest thing in existence. You can always check your local stealership too.

Side note if you are getting the chrome trim, of course over time the chrome is going to go faded to that yellow color again.

I was going to order mine from BMA parts, I talked to patrick and had him order the set, but I ran my credit too high to buy them so now he has a set and needs to find someone to sell them too. Its the m3 window trim I think, or that was the car he looked up to find the window trim. So talk to patrick at BMA if you want a set and it was less than a 100 I think.
