Basically most "coilover" kits for e30's are only coilovers in the front. True rear coilovers limit greatly the max tire width you can use as well FYI.
Which coilovers for my 318is?

They will if you call them they offer custom serivce. Though they will turn there nose up at you when you tell them how old your car is.
I say Ohlins but I am more than biased

ive herd decent reviews about bc's too..
im not going to be using the car on track enough to warrent £1k+ suspension. i want something with good height and dampening adjustability for fast road and occasional drift days.
How does "true" coilovers on the rear affect wheel width? i want tro run upto 9j banded steels on the rear with +2 overfenders and "true" coilovers.. idealy gaz/bc's
what advantages do a "true" coilover rear have against a standerd set up?Comment

Their best entry-level full setup is their Koni single adjustable kit with shortened strut housings, camber plates and rear shock mounts, and any spring rate you want. Great kit from beginner to advanced drivers, buddy has this setup and was stupid fast with just it and tires on track.
GREAT setup. TC Kline makes a comparable Koni-based kit, as does AST but with ASTs not Konis.Comment

Mine ride amazingly, not sure where you're getting this info. A lot of others on this forum like the BC's too. There are a couple guys who track with them and have no issues.Coilovers if ride is unimportant and performance is unimportant--LOOKS are most important. Cost: $free to $1200

The above category has different inconsistent valving side to side and front to rear. These are JUNK for performance. Actually, they're really just junk. You can run them super duper mad jdm tyte y0 low though. These ARE Fuh Raze coilovers.Comment

looks like my 2 options for the most adjustability at a cheaper cost is BC coilovers or spax rsx and have normal rear struts just with adjustability..
anyone got pics of bc or spax coilovers fitted?
Just to see the quality and what ill be buyingComment

My car is on BCs, Overall i like the construction and design. You do not compromise shock travel unlike Ground controls. Also the struts are matched to the springs. Now you want to run true suspension in the rear? You would significantly loose backspacing. My 16x9s come damn close with a final offset of et5. Only problem i have is that o ordered the (short springs) and my vendor ordered me the mediums so my front end doesn't sit as low as i want. I am ordering the shortest ones for around 75 bucks. I recommend getting the shortest ones to tuck 16x9s proper.
