Did U.S models come with fender markers (lights)

Just picked up another E30 this one for $500 and not $5000, any how it has euro bumps, some other euro goodies and side markers on the fenders, isnt this just a euro thing other than e36s and such?

they got put on during the federalization process

The US models they were built into the bumpers.

so could this be a origional euro and converted when it came over, car isnt at my house and it was infested by yellow jacket bees so I couldnt really snoop around it but I do own it now.
