    What a difference a new cat makes!

    Failed smog last month here in the peoples Republic of California...
    Then got denied state assistance because the program that is advertised all over their website to help you pay for smog related repairs "doesn't exist anymore"..

    So had to bite the bullet and get a new cat installed. $335 installed for a magnaflow. Made my car sound like a big block. Just got back from smog check, and thank god I PASSED!

          I havent noticed power, but I had to take my Miller MAF conversion off to smog it..so i think that is throwing off my butt dyno. After I put the MAF and filter back on, i might notice something.

              I also just had to get a new cat after failing smog by doubling the numbers.
              with the new cat my HC was 14 and my NO was only 1!

                  did you guys save your old cat or did the exhaust shop take them? i could have payed $100+ even if they are bad.
