How to test if fuel pump is working or not?

Pump is not making any noise so I think its fuel pump but how to make sure? So far this is what I have done.
I have tested input connector with voltage meter and was reading close to 12v. So i know that is power.

pull off line by fuel filter, put into a cup or container.
    Crank engine.
    Does it spew?

if not, jump relay, does it spew?

If not, put power directly to it, does it spew?

If not, tap it while putting power to it (Small wrench on the top of it works fine), does it spew?

If yes, It's on it's way to being b0rked
    If not it's b0rked

Put a jumper wire between pins 30, and 87 of the fuel pump relay.

If memory serves me correct, it's the middle relay of the three relay pack attached to the drivers side fender under the hood, next to the PS fluid resevior.

Or you could skip right to the pump, and see if it spews out when getting power and ground directly attached to it.

Before you even bother removing the hose (it'll be stuck on there good and you might tear it getting it off) just pull up your back seat and listen, if it is working you will hear it buzzing.

As for jumpering power to the pump if you look at the side of the fuel pump relay itself there is a diagram of its connections, use that for guidance. The other option would be to run a wire from the + terminal of the battery and another to a good ground using alligator clips.
