Dozyproductions: I bumped into a few guys that do swaps with S54s and getting some good advice from them. Always trying to learn. :) Hopefully I can get it done clean like that guy RYANG with the e30 m3. What an inspiration!

I also vote turbo. S54 = a lot of $$$$$. But an M50 turbo is so stable balanced and still madness. Especially if it could be done in 2 months? Why not! I hope to probably see it in person once :)

Thats my goal! To make it look factory as possible. I even saw a turbo setup where the snail is hidden all the way towards the firewall. I think it was a TRM setup.

I say you find a clean shell and in the process of getting the s54 ready you prep that shell to look tits with the swap.

Be a man, turbo S54! Joking. I don't know much about the S54 swap but your car is super clean and it would be sick to do a turbo and that is a nice upgrade, plus you have a lot done for it already. Nice ride.

Hm, not trying to be presumptuous or disrespectful, but since it looks like money isn't a huge issue for you, why not just pay Ryan to do the s54 swap? I bet he could get it done for you much faster than a year.

None taken. :) I'm getting married in 7 weeks and spent a crapload on it. Second just paid for our honeymoon which is in Fiji.
Every vehicle I purchased was through auctions or friends and built by me. That's how I save money. Ryan's pricing is well over 20K which is more than any of my vehicles. Get where I'm going? Only reason I'm thinking of this S54 swap is cuz I'm gettin a deal for it ($3500 for engine and tranny). This is a homey price since he owes me. If I go the turbo route is a lot cheaper but I worry about SMOG in CA. Or even gettin popped by popos.. There's a thread right before mine on this issue with turbos.

alot of work involved with an s54, but it's a rare and awesome sight to behold in an e30. I vote m50 turbo. Otherwise, I see 2-3 years before you have it up and running. Do you have a trans for the s54 lined up as well?

G260 will fit it, at least in the ix. I say save for the S54 and have something a little more unique and a lot cooler.
