    your missing the point,
249 out of 250 people wont end up dead if there going the speed limit and come across a dear or blow a tire or smash into a pothole or many other road hazards,
but if your going 110, and you run into a snail, your life could be done.
idk if you saw the photos but he plowed through a guard rail and banked off of a couple trees and the car ended up probably 75-125 feet off the road and in flames...
im sure non of the above would end this way if they were traveling at a safer speed than 110...like the speed limit or maybe +10
    just my

This is true. Anyone that has never made a questionable decision in their lives can disagree if they want.

Bummer. He was a hardcore BMW guy. :(

Drinking or not, anything can happen at 100+mph.

I guess it was a friend, Zack Hartwell. Not confirmed by authorities as of yet though.

I can agree with the lack of sentiment for drunk drivers, but at this point no one knows if he was drunk or had just been drinking. Regardless my thoughts go out to his family and friends. He was one of the celebrities I wish I had the chance to meet in person. Sounds like he was a well-grounded, stand up guy according to everyone who knew him. I just wish people's potential mistakes wouldn't permanently alter so many lives.

Just judging from how I look in pictures when I'm shitty sloshed, he looks like a lot more than three shots and three Miller Lites drunk. Maybe it was just the flash on the cameraphone, but I'm thinking he was more than 6 drinks in.

We have to wait for a toxicology report to know if he was drunk before labeling him as a drunk driver. 3 beers and 3 shots is not a lot for those of us who drink often, which would include Ryan Dunn.
That is not even mentioning those drinks were at 10:30ish, the accident happened at 2:30ish. 4 hours? Seriously, unless he went drinking somewhere else, which is completely possible. He would have been stone cold sober by the time of the wreak.

I will miss him. He and DiCo where my favorites in CKY

real shame, hes probably my favourite jackass, allways made me laugh.

he did do a terrible thing by drinking and driving and by extension playing a major part in his passengers death but he still did good by me by the most of his life with CKY and all the jackass videos as well as the viva la bam bits.

It's not a joke, he's dead. TMZ has confirmed it with Bam Margera, and while TMZ may be at the top of the game when it comes to gossip and tabloid reporting, they are widely considering to be the most reliable source. TMZ has also posted that the autopsy is already underway.

if in fact he was drunk i have no sympathy on him only his family for what they are going through...DRUNK DRIVERS KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE. people are just looking past that fact because he was famous and if it was some average Joe no one would be writing R.I.P. but criticizing the guy for driving drunk...

all in all i hope this is a joke and not real.

I feel like I should clarify so people don't think I'm 100% heartless. I think it's incredibly sad that this happened. I feel terrible that Ryan Dunn is dead, terrible for his friends, the Jackass and CKY crews, his family, everyone. He was hilarious. I own all of the CKY DVDs, even Landspeed and Haggard. I own all 3 Jackass movies. He was honestly probably my favorite one out of the whole CKY/Jackass crew. His personality, mannerisms, sense of humor, was all funny as hell to me.

What is so angering and saddening about this situation is that it was SO PREVENTABLE. Period. Someone could have stopped him from getting in the car. Someone could have taken his keys, someone could have done SOMETHING.
