anybody here know how to reset the oxygen sensor light on an 84 rabbit gti?

The black box on the engine side of firewall. Push the white butten

trace the speedo cable and find the 3" square black box in middle of cable,it will have a white button that when pushed you will here a click/clunck inside and the light will be reset. its just a mileage counter.

the cable goes directly from the trans to the speedo. no box in sight. is there a cluster reset method?

its a 1.8 gti, 1984

Found it. cluster trim has to be removed, and there is ann EGR and OX reset thing on the top left of cluster
