    Turning radius difference

    Whats up with my steering? When I turn to the left with the wheel locked all the way, I cant even make a u-turn within a wide residential street (Weird thing is my 5 series wagon can). But when I lock my wheel all the way to the right, my e30 can u-turn on a dime almost literally. Are my tie rods off or something? I also notice my car pulling slightly to the right when i am trying to go straight.

    The tie rods can get bent just past threads of the tie rod end,, new one on me.

      someone didn't line up the rack before doing an alignment. sounds like something is also bent too.

        sounds to me like your tie rod adjusters aren't centered.

          Undo the steering wheel, undo both tie rods, center rack, recenter steering wheel on column, adjust die accordingly.

          Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

            ^^^^^ this is what I'm going to do. I think the threads on the tie rods are off. But what do you mean adjust die???
