    CD Changer

Can I add a CD Changer to the stock BMW Cassete Unit? I want to play CD's in the car but dont want to take out hte stock unit. I have heard that the cars come pre-wired for the changer in the trunk. If this is true I can just add the changer right? If so, where can I find these and where is the connector in the trunk?

Many thanks. The car is a 1993 325 convertible.

Don't know anything about using the stock wiring, but they make changers that use FM modulation attached to the Antena wire next to the deck so there would be no need to replace the HU. Most of these units also come with some kind of remote (corded) you can use.

My understanding is the later model e30's, ones just like yours, came pre-wired for a cd changer. I'm not sure if all of them were pre-wired or not, but i know some were.

I'd seriously recommed you jut buy a new HU rather than buy a cd-changer, unless you can get it for free.
