Happy day today with my M50 race :)

So I went to look at an e30 m3 for sale but decided to stir away due to rust everywhere. We did a full run from a dead stop and rolling 25 mph. Both times I pulled by half a car length or a lil more. Not bad I guess for a stock M50 swap? ;)

Yeah I pulled slowly with my M50NV (stock tune) against a chipped/intake/exhaust'd S14, although he did have a passenger or two. Now with a Mark D tune I would probably pull on him a bit with even luggage.

M50 E30s aren't really fast per se, but they're surprisingly quick.

I'm in roughly the same boat with just a stock obd1 m52. Nothing insane about it so I will never try to race someone. I rather take a turn really fast.

I drive pretty aggressively so I've had a few run ins with other cars, but really it's only the 14-15 second cars that are interesting. Still, pulling on a guy with a 330Ci and watching the look on his face puts a shit-eating grin on mine. :D

I don't drive as nuts as I used to. I did a month because of it and can gladly say that I've learned a few lessons as to why driving too aggressively for your own skill level can be the difference between nothing and sudden death.

You just have to respect your surroundings and your speed. I am almost never doing 15-20 over for more than a few seconds, if I gun it at a light I am back to a reasonable cruising speed quickly. Everyone in the car scene seems to love to row gears and then just coast through intersections doing 80 in a 45--Why? The fun's already over when you're coasting. Then there are the idiots who drive aggressively through neighborhoods, etc. There is a time and a place for everything.

What did you "do a month" for?
