Mini S is supercharged not turboed. Unless they changed it after 2006, which I dont think they did. I use to drive a 2006 Mini S and it would rape a stock m20 powered e30 any day in a strait line, and it was really flat going threw the corners as well.

i drive a mini cooper s JCW edition for work, and the thing is equal next to a e36 m3 (highway pull) its a r56 so its turbo'd. the one thing i dont like about it is the torque steer it gets. u sed to not like the pedal and shifter feel, but after driving it to bimmerfest 2011 i dont mind it at all.

I sold my Mini S because of the annoying torque steer and went back to RWD. I'll never buy FWD for a sporty car again. Although I've read the new Ford Focus has figured out how to eliminate torque steer all together.sigpicComment
