Sitting for two years, best practices to get it back to life?

Hey guys, just bought a 325is that I've never heard run. One owner, 86k miles, paid 2.7k for it. I think it's really going to clean up nice with a little work here and there, very excited to be back in the BMW scene.

I had a 633CSi for a year and absolutely loved it, even though it was getting pretty close to the end of its life. Sold it (in the summer) when it refused to start when it was colder than 60F outside. I have no idea why, and neither did the local BMW specialist shop. Anyhow, I went a year without a BMW and really missed the 6 and I couldn't pass up the deal on this 325is.

So, any tips on bringing this car back to life? The owner didn't have any service records so I was thinking about trailing it home and doing all the fluids + timing belt and water pump.

Oh, the trunk won't open up. Can I pop it open if I take the rear seat out?

Thanks everyone, I'll make sure and take pictures of it in all its green tree crappy glory before I clean it up :p

You've got it pretty well covered with the fluids and timing belt/water pump.

Can you open the trunk? If you bash out the panel in the middle of the seat for the ski hole, and fit a very smart 3 year old child in there to cut a hole in the rear portion of it, and figure out how to do it, yes.

This is if pressing the lock in the back doesn't work.

If the battery is toast. Just put a battery charger or battery with jump leads on the positive post under the hood, and negative to a ground. Then the central locking system can work again.
