Need help with some wheels...need some 15's

So currently this is my ride

Looks great and all but I wanna try something different based on seeing this thread:

Post #93 has me thinkin of a retro look for an all season setup for my e30 as it currently has summers on it and I hate swapping tires/wheels every season. I don't wanna go with boring basket's or botlecaps (no offense) but I wanna go with a nice set of 15;s so I can run some raised white letter tires like these:

Any suggestions? the only size suitable for e30's is the 195-60-15;s. Any nice 15's recommended?

    thanks in advance!

You do realize that those BFGs will be completely useless in ice or snow, right?

There are all season tires that don't completely suck, but those are most emphatically not them.

On a 15x7 you could, or should do 205/55/15. You could also put more tire on there, 205 is stock on the ix and M3.

Your car is one of the cleanest E30's I have ever seen!

True, but these tires perform much better in the snow and ice than my current summers....so anything all-season is an improvement!

In terms of reviews, they seem to have gotten fairly reasonable reviews from those who have had them on e30's. Also, I dont' need them for DEEP snow, nor ice, as the snow around here hardly lasts a day or so at most (reg winter temps are just above freezing for the coldest parts of winter)

Ultimatly I just want an all season tire that's period correct and give the old-school 80's look of the e30 (as these cars ARE 80's cars, not some 90's sh*tbox e36), and if it gives me an opportunity to thorw some retro wheels on there, that's just a bonus :)

what about some Ronal Turbo's?.....or Alpina's, both in 15's....hmmm

In case you hadn't looked through this,

Probably one of the better 15" e30 wheel threads in existence.

For period correctness and non-weaveness I'd suggest either the AC Schnitzer Type 1 or the Racing Dynamics RGP, both would look really nice on your clean e30.

Mims are pretty darn period correct. I think they would look great on your car. However I think that getting over having to swap out summer and winter wheels is something you should think about. It isn't that big of a pain.

Thanks for the compliments guys. She's been pretty much downgraded to Saturday grocery-getter status, as I use my Vino 125 for commuting and the GF works just up the street, so there's really no need for a car anymore.

Thinkin of a set of MiMs woudl be best...nice compromise and period correct. Would look KILLER with white writing tires too :D

MiMs are definitely period correct. Csermont had them on his car for a while.

I have Mim 1900s and I think they're great wheels. They have a 13 offset, which is just right and I don't think they were made with any other offset.
I ghetto sprayed mine with transparent black light paint to get a gunmetal(ish) look. I think they're pretty light too.
                        I run 205/50/15 tires.

They look great in white too though.

I think they were only made in 15x7 so search for Mim 1900.
Most sellers don't know what kind of wheels they're selling though, so they're not the easiest wheels to find.

those 1900's are dope. I might have to rethink my wheel choice. I'm guessing a bbk would need spacers with the looks of those spokes?
