Not even a bit true. A soldier put in his order over here yesterday at the dealership I work at, and recieved the confirmation today of an August delivery. U.S. military sales has now sold 2 (one in K-town) one here now. Salesman told me today, cars are still pos. avail.
I NEED to test drive one of these

Its still not a 1M....... you can also make a 325i E30 faster than an E30 M3, but it still isnt an M.
From what I was told in Leipzig at the school house, the 1M used the N54 to keep prices down. there was VERY LITTLE money put into the development of the car-- all part are just leftovers from the E90 and such (even the subframe front and rear are 3 series parts). the motor is just a euro Z4 35i motor. the whole idea of the car was to see if there was any interest out there before the new models come out. the numbers of the amount to be built keep changing because they are being built on the same line as the X1 and all other 1er. the X1 is selling world wide much better than expected, therefore the 1M is being put to the side.
even the inner fenderwells are M3 parts!Comment

Yes you can still order one, but it's getting tough because dealerships are only alotted a certain number of 1M's and with a little over 300 dealers and 1000 units being produced, odds are not to good. Here is a link talking about the 1M production numbers and 1 year only production. http://www.bmwblog.com/2011/05/25/re...11/#more-60156Not even a bit true.
